( https://www.assiniboinepark.ca/events/event/247 )\nCome for friendly, welcoming skating lessons open to the public and free this weekend only!\nStick around for all kinds of adult and family-friendly events all weekend ( https://www.assiniboinepark.ca/events/event/247 ).\nLessons run from 4-6 and start on the hour.\nChoose your start time of 4pm or 5pm.\nApproximate lesson length is 30-40min.\nStick around for live music and 80s themed “skate and chill” afterward.\nEquipment is first come first serve.\nSkates provided if needed.\nBring your own if you have them.\nAll ages and abilities.\nBeginners very welcome.\nPlenty of other activities for the whole family to enjoy while you learn including an (optional) 80s night of skiing and skating that night.\nTo join, please meet up in the duck pond shelter and stop by the Zoogipon winter equipment kiosque. Her educational background is in theatre and her work history covers a wide range of outdoor work, professional dance, mechanics and trails. For the past 4 years she has been teaching skating and cycling for beginners as part of Winnipeg Trails programming at various locations in Winnipeg including The Forks. She loves to play recreational hockey when she can with teams at the Highlander in Winnipeg. Her main skating passion comes from teaching newcomers to Canada.\n \n
