Adaptive Ski Lessons and Adventures with Coach Olex

Come try sit skiing …or perfect your sit skiing skills!

A sit ski is ideal for people who are wheelchairs or anyone with upper body strength but lower body impairments. A sit ski comes in a few different configurations tailored to your level of torso strength and skills, and enables tons of fun! Winnipeg Trails currently own 3 types for folks to try and use.

Every Saturday this winter at Assiniboine Park Former paralympic biathlete Olex Korniiko invites you to come learn the ins and outs of sit skiing. These are small group lessons. You can come once, or come every weekend. It is a chance to connect and share. Family and friends are welcome to join too and we have skis for them too.

Please RSVP (you only need to do that for the person who may be looking for adapted equipment).

Attendance is free or by donation, with a suggested donation of $20 per session. Equipment is included.

If Saturdays’ sessions don’t work for you, be sure to reach out to Olex anyway as we’d love to connect you to other opportunities!
