Mobile Ski Library Visit at Fort Whyte Sunday 10-1
Join us for a morning of cross country skiing and winter fun!
This event is presented by Fort Whyte Alive, Accessible Sport Connections Manitoba and Winnipeg Trails. It is proudly funded by Access Credit Union.
Fort Whyte is GORGEOUS this time of year. There will be skis, kicksleds and ahkios to try for all ages and sizes. For those in need of adapted equipment*, we have various styles of sit ski and wheel blades but also make sure to check out the programming later the same afternoon. We will have warm drinks, warm snacks, even painting supplies and, of course, good company.
Throughout the day, guests can try out different equipment, chat with subject matter experts, warm up and recharge with hot chocolate and bannock roasting (while supplies last). Families are welcome to visit the indoor colouring station, a cozy spot for kids to take a break, get creative, and warm up before heading back out onto the trails.
RSVP
We strongly urge everyone to use the RSVP link below. It helos us gauge numbers of staff and equipment. Equipment is always first come first serve, but rarely is there a wait.

*All our mobile ski library visits are always as inclusive we can make them and persons with disabilities are heartily welcome at all them. That being said, if you identify as such, you may have a special interest in joining this afternoon programming the same day designed specifically to gather members of the disabled community to hang out, share stories, try/share adaptive equipment or techniques, and generally have some fun in the snow, so check this out. 🙂
