Assiniboine Park Winter Fun 2026 - Rentals, Lessons and Events

Winnipeg Trails’ Zoogipon Winter Equipment Kiosque is open again for the season thanks to Assiniboine Park Conservancy! We offer by-donation rentals of skis, skates, kicksleds, sleds and more! 

We are located inside the Riley Family Duck Pond shelter. Get directions and opening hours on Google

OPEN January to March
Friday 4pm – 8pm
Saturday 10am – 6pm
Sunday Noon – 4pm

Winnipeg Trails is a non-profit organization focused on creating better communities with more opportunties to get mobile and have fun. Most of the equipment has been doanted by generous Winnipeggers. All rentals and lessons by donation!  Donations support our work and free mobile ski library visits that happen every weekend in winter all over the city near you. 

Suggested donation amounts
Skates $5, Skis $5, Sleds $5! 
No time limit. 🙂
Family rentals (mix and match any kind of equipment) $20. 
Group lessons $20 per person / $40 family (equipment included). 
Children must be accompanied by adults. 
No one without funds turned away.

If you have ever wanted to try a winter activity, this is your chance! There are many KMs of trails, two great toboggan hills, a beautiful duck pond to skate on and lots to see and do.  There is a warm fire burning, washrooms, food an drink nearby. Something for your any friends or family.

 

Lessons and special programs

We are also offer fun programs, like beginner-focused lessons in skiing and skating Saturday and Sunday for very reasonable cost and special events and programs. Also please note the availability of sit skis and the specialized programming for persons with lower body impairments on Saturdays! Tell anyone you know.
