Try Skiing or Snowshoeing at The Forks – New Year’s Day Special Try Winter at The Forks

Ring in the New Year right by trying something new!

Brought to you by The Forks and Winnipeg Trails. This is an opportunity for people new to skiing or snowshoeing to get some tips and tricks. Newcomers to Canada or anyone who has never learned to ski or snowshoe are very warmly welcomed!!

Space is limited! Please RSVP below. Instructor Anders Swanson will be on hand to talk, walk and ski you through the easy first steps… er… swooshes…. 🙂

Skis and snowshoes provided courtesy the Winterpeg mobile ski  library on a first come first serve basis.

Meet at The Forks atrium (inside near the skate rentals and the door closest to the circular rink under the canopy).

Please note that due to staffing capacity on the holiday, supports for persons with disabilities will be limited at this event. Sit skis for example will not be available, but please join us on January 6th for something super exciting or simply watch the calendar for lots of opportunities for folks with disabilities to get in on the fun all over the city.
